	UNIT 5 (formerly Recycle A Bike) underwent a complete rebrand to redefine its identity and mission. I led the art direction and brand development, working closely with the owner to establish a new vision and Theory of Change that guided the creative process. Collaborating with Graphic Designer Tom Cross on concepts and moodboards, and Photographer Cameron Williamson on visuals, we crafted a fresh identity that authentically represents the community. Through location shoots in Black Park and Central London, we captured imagery featuring local riders, ensuring a consistent and impactful visual style. The result is a fully launched brand that reflects UNIT 5’s values and community spirit.

	The Wooden Bike is a collaboration between upCYCLE LDN, Brixton Wings, Alexander Clark (Design Engineering, Imperial College London), and db_mx, who supported the project with expert CNC cutting and fabrication. Together, we developed a rideable wooden bicycle and mini frame kits that introduced young people to design, engineering, and sustainability through hands-on making.


Across sessions at Evelyn Grace Academy, the Great Exhibition Road Festival, and Herne Hill Velodrome, participants built mini models, assembled a full-size wooden bike, and explored STEM concepts inside real makerspaces. The project strengthened confidence, teamwork, and creative problem-solving and the finished bike was later exhibited at the London Design Festival.

	BRIXTON WINGS REBRAND

	Brixton Wings is a community organisation supporting young people through arts, education, and enrichment. I worked closely with the team to deliver a full rebrand that captured their energy and values while strengthening how they communicate their work.


With designer Tom Cross, we developed a refreshed identity new logos, typography, colour palette, and graphic elements balancing professionalism with a youth-centred feel. Photographer Cameron Williamson produced a new image library that brought the organisation’s programmes to life.


The rebrand now shapes Brixton Wings’ website, printed materials, reports, uniforms, and digital communications, giving them a clearer and more cohesive public presence.

Timeline: Eight-Week Programme (2025)


	Hillingdon Refugee Support Group provides community, guidance, and opportunities for young people newly arrived in the UK. In partnership with Upcycle, I mentored ten young refugees through an eight-week programme that used cycling-themed workshops to build confidence, communication, and creativity.


The programme concluded with a session at Rapha, where participants designed musettes, created collages, and presented their ideas to industry designers, including the team behind the Amani Racing kit. It offered a supportive space for young people to grow, connect, and develop key skills as they adapted to life in the UK.

	Over four years of weekly volunteering at Recycle-A-Bike Uxbridge, I’ve gained hands-on insight into cycling heritage, bike repair, and the close-knit community built around restoring and recycling bicycles. My work has focused on dismantling bikes for reusable materials, and through this process I’ve collected vintage bike badges dating back to the 1950s. I also inherited a leather jacket from the workshop, which I refurbished and decorated with the badges alongside textile specialist Jucha Willers-Moores, a piece that symbolises my time, learning, and connection to the organisation. Recycle-A-Bike’s mission to support people with mental health challenges through meaningful work has made this experience deeply impactful and fulfilling.

	For Revisiting Brixton Rec, a community heritage project led by Team GJC and MUF Architects, I designed a poster that visually communicates the importance of documenting the living histories of Brixton Recreation Centre. The project gathers oral histories, photographs, and digital artefacts to celebrate the diverse events, people, and cultures that have shaped The Rec since its opening in 1985. My contribution helped translate this collective memory into a striking visual piece that reflects the vibrancy and significance of the space.
