Upcycle x Hillingdon Refugee Support Group: Skill-Building Through Cycling
As part of an 8-week mentoring program with Hillingdon Refugee Support Group, I collaborated with Upcycle to help 10 young refugees develop vital skills using the Skill Builders Partnership Pathway. Through a series of cycling-themed workshops, the participants worked on building confidence, communication, and creativity.

The program culminated in an inspiring session with industry partner Rapha, where the young people applied their new skills to design musettes and collages. They also practiced presenting their ideas in a professional environment. Rapha's team, including designers behind the Team Amani Racing kit, shared insights into their creative process, a meaningful connection for participants who shared cultural ties with the racers' countries.
For young people who had recently migrated to the UK, this program provided a platform to grow personally and professionally, overcoming challenges like language barriers and confidence issues.
